Benefits:

In return for paying a Program Fee and providing 45 hours of weekly childcare, you receive:

  • Flights to and from New York plus onward travel to your host family (surcharges may apply - click here for surcharges)
  • 4 day Orientation program with meals and accommodation
  • 13 month J-1 Visitor Exchange Visa with the option to extend for a further 12 months
  • Your own room and meals provided with your host family
  • Medical and liability insurance
  • Two weeks paid vacation
  • Travel month
  • *Completion Bonus upon successful completion of the program

 Remember:

  • You do not pay any Program Fees until you are matched with a suitable host family (your local agent my charge an agency fee)
  • We will arrange flights to and from New York. There may be an additional outbound and inbound flight surcharge for your country
  • Your host family will cover your transport costs from New York to their home once you arrive in the US
  • You will need to cover your transport costs back to New York on completion of your stay or pay a surcharge to fly from another city
  • Additional costs may include fees for your local interviewer, a visa processing fee, a criminal record check, your doctor may also charge for completing a medical form
  • Please note that the US embassy fee is separate from the Au Pair program fees and you are responsible for paying the embassy fee. Current embassy fees can be found on your US embassy website
