Study online with the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA)!

Au Pair in America is the first and only US au pair sponsor to offer this exciting and unique online study opportunity for au pairs - American Studies Online!

With many au pairs prefering independent, online based study rather than in a classroom environment, we have developed this exciting online program in conjunction with the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA).

The course is exclusively for Au Pair in America au pairs and combines an academic program with a community involvement component. Course topics include; US History, English Language Study, Arts in the US, US Literature, Career Counseling and an optional TOEFL preparation course.

But it is not just about studying! The online course is also about experiencing the American culture hands on. As part of the course, au pairs are encouraged to give at least one Global Awareness presentation, participate as a volunteer in their community, visit historical sights and take part in American cultural activities like attending a baseball game or taking part in holiday traditions.

Remember you do not have to be an au pair based in California to take advantage of the American Studies course online. It is open to our au pairs throughout the USA.

You will receive a certificate from UCLA after you have completed your studies and this will count towards the educational component of the Au Pair in America Program - what a great addition to your resume!
