Interviews take place all year round, so you can apply whenever it suits you. But you should allow at least four to six months before you want your placement to begin. Your exact departure date will depend on your host family’s requirements.

You will now also need to start collecting the following documents / items to upload to your application:

A Profile photo, family and childcare photos (4 – 6 photos)
At least 3 references (reference forms are available for download on your applications site)
Medical Form (form available for download on your applications site)
Your latest school, academic and/or vocational certificates or diplomas
Copy of your full driving license
A criminal record check certificate
A copy of your passport

You should also now starting thinking about making a video for your application. Videos are compulsory.

Once you have completed your online application, you should attend an Interview.

What next?

Once you have been accepted onto the program, you will start communicating with potential host families
Once you have selected a host family, we will advise you when to visit the US Embassy in your country to submit your visa application
We arrange all your visa papers and your flight to the USA
